Weather improving across far westen parts of Europe.

Friday
A better day across much of Spain and Portugal with sunny spells and feeling less cold, though showers still about across northern Spain. Showers clearing to the east of the Balearics. Low pressure still bringing a mixed day to Italy with heavy rain, sleet and snow showers to the north and across the Alpine region, rain showers mainly further south, these largely clearing into the afternoon. Some showers for mainland Greece but drier through the islands and Turkey.
Continuing to be cold, wet and windy through France, the Low Countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow in places. Cold and windy across Poland with rain, sleet and snow through southern areas, drier towards the north. Heavy showers affecting the Balkans and others across eastern Europe.
Dry with sunny spells across Denmark and the Baltics and feeling a tad less cold. Mostly dry with sunny spells through Sweden and Finland. Southern Norway also dry and fine through rain, sleet and snow further north where it will be windy.

Saturday
Largely dry and fine with sunshine across Spain and Portugal though showery rain still expected to affect northern areas of Spain with brisk winds towards the northeast. Largely dry with decent sunshine across the Balearics. Heavy rain affecting Corsica and Sardinia pushing then into western parts of Italy. Thundery, heavy rain also affecting mainland Greece though the islands and Turkey looking to remain dry.
An improving day from the west across France, though eastern regions still breezy with outbreaks of rain about. Snow fall across the Alpine countries contining. Largely dry with sunshine through the Low Countries and much of Germany. Breezy but mainly dry across Poland. Showery outbreaks of heavy rain and blustery winds continue to affect many eastern European countries.
Staying dry and largely fine through southern areas of Norway and Sweden as well as Denmark. Dry for the Baltics too but a sharp northerly wind blows through here. Cold and windy with some snow across north Norway into west Sweden, drier further east. Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow across Finland too.
