High pressure remains in control over northern Europe
Some cloud and showery rain for Portugal and western Spain. Staying dry to the east and for the Balearic Islands. Showery outbreaks of rain, some locally heavy and thundery, affect Italy, the Balkans, Greece and western and northern Turkey. Dry and fine for southeastern Turkey.
Some showers for eastern France and the Low Countries. Staying drier to the west. Showers too affect central and southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, southern Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. Mostly dry and fine for northern parts of Germany and Poland.
Continuing dry and fine under the influence of high pressure for Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Baltic States. Some cloud developing over western coasts of Norway and the far north of Finland with the chance of some drizzly rain. Cloud building later over the Baltic States.
Some showers for eastern and northern Spain - these locally heavy. Staying dry and fine to the southwest and for Portugal. Mostly bright for the Balearic Islands and Italy though widespread afternoon showers are expected to form. Mostly bright too for Greece and Turkey with some showery rain to the west and north.
Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected through much of Europe on Tuesday. Showers becoming locally heavy during the afternoon across France, the Low Countries, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.
High pressure remains dominant over Scandinavia with mostly dry and bright conditions prevailing. Fronts do encroach into western Norway bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain here. It remains dry and bright for eastern Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Baltic States and Denmark though with more cloud around than on Monday.
