High temperatures maintained in the south and east but cooler and fresher across northern and some central parts


Friday
A few showers, chiefly around the far north of Spain and the Balearics but much of Portugal and Spain will be dry with very warm or hot sunshine. Some thundery rain or showers for Southwest Italy, Corsica and Sardinia, otherwise only localized showers and sunny spells for much of Italy and the Adriatic. A good deal of sunshine for Greece and Turkey and mostly dry with only isolated showers in Greece.
Thunderstorms in the southeast of France, these breaking out over Switzerland and Austria too. The south and east of Germany and Poland will see some heavy, thundery rain, this edging further south into Central Europe but while one or two showers are possible, much of Bulgaria and Romania will be dry.
Mostly dry at first with only isolated showers in Northern France and the Low Countries but showers, some heavy, will develop more widely later. Very mixed across Scandinavia with areas of rain or showers circulating around low pressure, this centred near to Western Norway, the rain also extending into the Baltic states.
Cooler, fresher conditions with highs in the low to mid 20s at best sinks further south into some central parts, Southern France and the far north of Spain but high temperatures are maintained in the south and east.


Saturday
Still a scattering of showers, in the far north of Spain and the Balearics but most of Portugal and Spain will remain dry with a good deal of sunshine. Rain or showers in Corsica, Sardinia and the southwest of Italy will turn lighter and less frequent but showers will break out over the rest of Italy and the Adriatic, with some heavy, thundery rain in the north. Plenty of sunshine for Greece and Turkey and mostly dry with only isolated showers in Greece.
Showers for France, the Low Countries and the north of Germany but these mostly light with spells of sunshine developing. Heavy, thundery downpours for Southern Germany and Poland, Switzerland, Austria and Central Europe but staying dry over towards the Black Sea coast.
Occasional rain or showers across Scandinavia and the Baltic States but becoming less widespread with spells of sunshine developing away from Western Norway
Temperatures in the high teens to low 20s across the north and extending down into western and some central areas but the south and east will continue to see values in the high 20s to low 30s and locally exceeding 35C.
