Cool & unsettled southeast Europe
High pressure over southern Europe maintains fair and warm weather for Spain, southern France and Italy. A front approaching from the Atlantic brings thickening cloud to northwest Spain and Portugal, with patchy rain developing. Some rain also moves into northwest France, becoming heavy for a time as a cold front moves through. Brisk southwesterly winds for the Low Countries and northern Germany with patchy rain turning heavy later. Largely dry around the Alps.
Low pressure centred over Greece and western Turkey brings cloud and rain to this part of the world, and cool temperatures. Areas of rain and mountain snow for Romania and Bulgaria. A few showers scattered across Eastern Europe.
Southwesterly winds push mild air right across Scandinavia. Areas around the Baltic will be generally dry, but fronts move in from the west to bring heavy rain to southern Norway, Denmark and later Sweden. Risk of gales around North Sea coasts.
High pressure over central and western Europe brings dry and mild weather to France, Spain and Portugal, plus Italy and the western Mediterranean. Largely dry across the Alps, a few patches of rain for Austria. Low pressure exists to the southeast, with unsettled conditions for the eastern Mediterranean, with rain and mountain snow affecting Turkey and Cyprus. Showery around the Greek Islands.
Northern Europe sees a strong west to southwesterly flow, with areas of rain and drizzle moving across northern Germany, Poland and into the Baltic states, Belarus and Ukraine. Some rain also into western Romania.
Mild and windy for Scandinavia, heavy rain for western Norway, whilst Sweden escapes largely dry. Rain also affects Finland.
