Windy and cold with rain and showers in northern Europe, drier and brighter to the south
A dry and bright day for Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands. Starting dry and bright for Italy too but rain develops later to the northeast and spreads south across central and southern parts of the country. A cloudier day for Greece and Turkey with isolated showers to the west. Outbreaks of rain and snow affect northern and eastern parts of Turkey.
Wintry showers for eastern parts of France, the Low Countries and Germany on Tuesday. These tending to ease through the day. Heavier, more peristent outbreaks of snow over the Alps. Early rain clears Slovakia and Hungary leaving a bright day with wintry showers here and for much of Poland and the Czech Republic too.
A dull day for Denmark with frequent showers. Brighter and mostly dry for the Baltic States though Lithuania could see occasional showers. A mostly dry and bright day across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Wintry showers affect southern parts of Norway and Sweden through the morning and western parts of Norway through the afternoon and evening.
A few showers affecting western Portugal on Wednesday. Fair for most of Spain with plenty of sunshine. Fair too in Corsica and Sardinia as well as most of Italy, although more some morning mist and fog here. More sunshine in Greece, a few showers in southern Turkey.
Sunny spells and mostly dry for France although some morning mist and fog patches, these lifting. Rain and some heavy showers in northern France, the Low Countries and much of Germany. Poland will have some sunny spells and plenty of dry weather. Hungary is dry with sunny spells, although showers afecting Austria and Switzerland.
Windy for Denmark with periods of sleet and rain. Scattered showers in the Baltic States. Bright in Finland and dry. Breezy in the far south of Sweden, but lighter winds elsewhere with sunny spells. Norway will be colder with heavy snow showers to the north and west.
