Northern Italy improves into Wednesday
Dry and very warm weather continues through Spain and Portugal. Chance of an isolated shower for the Balearics. Some heavier afternoon showers for Corsica and Sardinia. Low pressure over Italy brings heavy rain and thunderstorms. Wet too for the Balkans and mainland Greece. A few showers for the Greek islands, but drier for much of Turkey and also Cyprus.
Sunshine and dry for west and southern France. Cloudier further east and into the Low Countries. Patchy rain for eastern France and into Germany, more persistent in the east and toward the Alps. Wet for Czechia and Austria. Areas of rain for Poland and moving into Hungary from the west too. Drier for eastern Europe and very warm near the Black Sea.
Chilly northerly winds for Norway and Sweden with wintry showers in northern coastal areas. Mainly dry with broken cloud and sun for southern Sweden and Denmark. Low pressure and fronts bring rain to Finland and the Baltic states, clearing later from the west.
More hot sunshine for Spain. Cloud thickens for Portugal and some rain pushes into northwestern Spain. Fine for the Balearics. Showers form over Corsica and Sardinia. Staying unsettled for southern Italy and Sicily with thundery showers forming. Drier and brighter for northern Italy and the Alps. Heavy rain for the Balkan states and Greece. Some showers reach western Turkey. Fine for Cyprus.
Dry but breezy for France and Switzerland. A little patchy rain for Austria and Hungary, heavier rain for a time in Slovakia. Dry across northern-central Europe with sunshine and broken cloud for the Netherlands and Germany. Dry too for Poland.
Staying cool for Scandinavia with scattered showers across the north. Also showery for Finland, but plenty of dry weather for southern Norway, much of Sweden and Denmark.
