Wet and windy western Europe, staying cold to the north


Friday
Wind, cloud and rain affecting much of Spain and Portugal again. Most of the rain in the west and north of Iberia with a risk of gales in the south. Showery rain may affect the Balearics too. Cloud and some drizzle for Italy whilst Greece will be mostly cloudy but dry. Sunny spells and dry weather affecting Greece and much of Turkey.
Rain in the south of France although the risk of sleet in the north with plenty of cloud. Rather cloudy too with some snow affecting the Low Countries. Breezy with sunny spells in Germany whilst heavy snow showers affect Poland. Cloud and some drizzle or rain in much of Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Breezy and cold for Denmark with sunny spells here. Wintry showers in the baltic States and across Finland too. Sweden will have cold conditions with plenty of sunshine and it should be remaining cold and sunny in Norway.


Saturday
Rain and wind through Spain and Portugal on Saturday. The rain could be heavy at times. Eastern Spain should be drier and brighter with good spells of sunshine. Rain in southern Italy but the risk of some heavy snow in northern areas. Greece should be dry with sunny spells and it should be staying dry for TurKey too.
Cloud and some outbreaks of rain affecting much of France, eastern and southern areas tending to be drier. Sleet and snow moving into the Low Countries. Germany should be dry with sunny spells and it should be fair in Poland too. Some cloud and periods of snow for Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Denmark will be dry with sunny spells. The Baltic States wil be dry too with some sunshine to come here. Finland will be dry with some sunny spells and very cold. Sweden will have sunshine and dry conditions whilst it should be dry for Norway, but cold.
