Fair & warm for the Mediterranean & northern Europe; thundery showers for central areas


Friday
Fine and warm across much of Spain and Portugal, heavy showers in northeast Spain. Italy should be dry with more sunshine throughout and will be feeling warm. Scattered showers in Greece but mostly dry. Heavy thunderstorms forming in central and eastern Turkey but dry to the west.
Fair in northern France but some thundery rain in the south. Fair too in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Thundery rain across Poland and the south of Germany. Further heavy thunderstorms forming over Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Denmark sees light rain clearing to leave a dry day with sunny spells. Sweden will be dry with sunny spells for most. Rain passing through the Baltic States with showers and windier weather in Finland. Rain and showers across Norway, some of them heavy.


Saturday
Dry, fine and warm across Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia on Saturday. Heavy thundery showers affecting northern and central Italy, drier to the south. Dry and sunny too for Greece and western Turkey. Thundery showers for central and eastern parts of Turkey.
Heavy, sometimes thundery, showers for eastern France. Dry and bright to the west and for the Low Countries. Dry and bright too for much of Germany and Poland but thundery showers creeping into southern areas. Thundery outbreaks also affecting much of Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary on Saturday.
A dry and bright day for much of southern Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Outbreaks of rain and showers for northern parts of Finland, Sweden and Norway.
