Unsettled over parts of Europe with thunderstorms to the east

Sunday
A largely dry, hot and sunny day for Spain and Portugal with a risk of afternoon thunderstorms developing over southeast Spain. Dry and warm too for Italy though isolated showers may develop to the south and over Sardinia and Sicily. Hot, dry and sunny conditions extend to Greece and Turkey where isolated showers may develop to the north through the afternoon.
Dry and warm for much of France though cloud builds to the north western and may bring isolated spots of rain here and also for the Low Countries. Outbreaks of rain, some locally heavy, spread from west to east across Norway on Sunday while unsettled conditions with frequent thundery outbreaks of rain affect much of southern Poland, the Czech Republic, eastern Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia.
Areas of rain affect Norway and Sweden as low pressure drifts in from the west and fronts pass eastwards, some heavy bursts for a time. Largely dry and warm for Finland and the Baltic states with scattered showers.

Monday
Hot and sunny again for Portugal and Spain with the warmth focussed to the southwest of Iberia. This may also be where we see thunderstorms flare up later. Warm, dry and sunny conditions extend through the Mediterranean to the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, the Balkans, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.
A dry and fine day for France and the Low Countries though there may be some cloud around to the north. Showers affecting Germany tend to ease to the southeast through the day while thundery outbreaks are widespread over the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. Isolated showers for Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.
A fine day for Denmark with isolated showers. Lower pressure keeps conditions unsettled over Norway, Sweden and Finland with outbreaks of rain, these locally heavy over eastern Sweden, and scattered showers. Mixed too for the Baltic States on Monday with widespread thundery showers developing here later.
