Heavy thunderstorms in Italy and Greece, fine Spain and Portugal


Thursday
Plenty of sunshine in Spain and Portugal on Thursday. Staying dry with more sunshine in the Balearics. Fair for Corsica and Sardinia and staying fair in northern Italy too. Rain will be afecting the southern half of Italy. Greece will be wet with rain here, whilst Turkey will have sunny spells and will be dry.
Rain in the far northwest of France, but fair for most of the rest of France after morning fog patches clear. The Low Countries will be dry with more sunshine here. Rain in the eastern half of Germany with cold and showers in Poland. Austria, Hungary and Switzerland should be dry with more spells of sunshine.
Fair weather in Denmark. Mostly fair for Sweden. Heavy and thundery showers for the Baltic States and Finland. Norway should be dry with more sunshine here, although some showers in the south.

Friday
Fine for Spain and Portugal today with lots of sunshine. It should be staying dry and sunny into Italy as well, although some showers affecting southern Italy. Greece will have some heavy showers, although Turkey should be dry with more sunshine here.
A band of showery rain in central parts of France. Sunshine in the north and west, fair to the south. Heavy showers and thunderstorms over the Low Countries and Germany. Fair in Poland but some showers in the north. Fine for Hungary and Austria although heavy showers affect Switzerland.
Showers for Denmark. Heavy showers too in the Baltic States with more persistent rain and wind in Finland. Showers in northern Sweden but dry to the south. Fair in much of Norway, god spells of sunshine here.
