A very mixed picture across Europe with showers, outbreaks of rain & thunderstorms


Friday
A few showers linger for eastern Spain and the Balearic Islands but, on the whole, its a dry and bright day across Iberia. Thundery showers continue for northern Italy but showers should clear southern areas leaving brighter conditions. A few thundery showers for the Balkans, northern Greece and southern Turkey but staying dry, bright and warm elsewhere in southeast Europe.
A mostly dry and fine day for France, the Low Countries and Germany though a front will bring increasing cloud from the north throughout the day and outbreaks of rain to northern areas through the afternoon and evening. Cloudy but mostly dry for Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia with just the odd shower here. These may be thundery for Hungary and Slovakia.
Outbreaks of rain for Denmark and Finland. These heavy for western Denmark. Mostly dry and bright for the Baltic States. Sweden and Norway stay mostly dry but overcast with a chance of showers for southwestern areas.

Saturday
A few showers for southeastern Spain and the Balearic Islands once more on Saturday. Staying dry and bright across the rest of Spain and for Portugal. Showers continue for Italy - these focussed along the Adriatic coast on Saturday and should be lighter than on Friday. Thunderstorms continue for the Balkans and northern Greece while southern parts of Turkey could see the odd isolated shower.
Showery outbreaks of rain for eastern France, the Low Countries and Germany. These could be heavy in places. Dry and bright for western and central France. Bright with the odd shower over Switzerland. Cloudier for Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland with some thundery showers.
An area of low pressure brings unsettled conditions with frequent outbreaks of rain to Denmark, Sweden and southern and western parts of Finland. Mostly dry and bright for Norway with just the odd shower to the south. Starting bright for the Balkans but cloud builds from the west bringing showers later.
