Rain and wind in the north, showers in the east and central Mediterranean


Tuesday
Rain spreads from the west across northern France in the early hours, advancing south & east through the daytime into the Low Countries, western Germany and the western Alps, giving snow over the mountains. High pressure across Iberia brings warm sunshine to Spain and Portugal, reaching 18 to 23C. Spring warmth too for the French Riviera and northern Italy, 15 to 18C. Showers for the far south of Italy, the southern Balkans, Bulgaria and Greece , some heavy and thundery downpours breaking out. Remnants of fronts produce cloudy skies and spots of rain locally for Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. High pressure over Scandinavia gives plenty of dry but chilly weather. A little rain possible for southern areas of Norway and Sweden. The far north will see snow showers.

Wednesday
Rain affecting northern Spain on Wednesday. Central and southern areas will be dry with good spells of sunshine. It stays fine too in the Balearics as well as across much of Italy. Greece will have rain in eastern areas and strong winds. The heavy rain affecting the west and south of Turkey too.
A band of rain passes east through France with sunny spells and scattered showers in the west. Further wind and rain in the Low Countries with some heavy rain in Germany. Breezy with some rain in southern Poland, fair to the north. Sunny spells and dry weather for Hungary but some rain in Austria and Switzerland.
Wind and rain arrive in Denmark through this evening. Much of the Baltic States will have a fair day with good spells of sunshine. Scattered showers for Finland but dry with sunny spells in Sweden. More dry weather with sunny spells to come in Norway.
