Strong southwesterlies in north

Tuesday
A few showers in southern Spain, but fair in central and northern areas. Showers may also affect Ibiza, but Majorca and Menorca should be dry. Staying fair for Corsica and Sardinia too. Some thundery showers in central and southern Italy, fair in the north. Greece will have lots of sunshine as will Turkey and it should be dry too.
Plenty of sunshine in France once morning mist and fog have cleared. Breezy in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Some drizzle along northern coasts. Rain in the east of Germany. Poland should be fair overall, although some rain in the far west. Austria will be dry with sunny spells. Hungary should be fair as well with some fine conditions.
Breezy for Denmark, some rain in the west, fair in eastern areas. Sweden should be fair with sunny spells too. Breezy with some rain in the Baltic States, although Finland will be cloudy and breezy with drizzle. Rain in southern Norway, showers to the north.

Wednesday
Showers affect the far south of Spain, but most of Iberia will be dry with sunshine. The Balerics, Corsica and Sardinia are likely to be dry. An area of rain and some heavy downpours affects the central Mediterranean and Sicily, grazing the southern tip of mainland Italy too. Staying dry for Greece, chance of showers for Crete.
High pressure extends across centrel Europe, with fair weather from France to Germany and many eastern countries. Some morning fog, but plenty of warm autumn sunshine by day. Breezier for northern areas, particularly the Low Countries.
A strong and mild southwesterly flow affects Scandinavia with rain spreading across Norway and Sweden. Drizzly rain for Denmark and the Baltic states. Cooler with some showers in Finland.
