Becoming wetter and windier north and west

Friday
A dry and fine day with plenty of sunshine across Spain and Portugal as well as the Balearics. A few scattered showers across Italy, mainly in the south, and the islands, but many of these easing later. More mixed through Greece and Turkey with heavy showers and or thunderstorms.
A windy day across northern France with showers as well as longer spells of rain for some. The rain moving into Belgium later but the Netherlands staying mostly dry though breezy. Patchy rain moving into Austria and parts of southwest Germany but Switzerland should remain dry. Scattered showers across the rest of Germany but also sunny spells though breezy here too. Largely dry across eastern Europe.
Mostly dry but some showers across Denmark, these also affecting southern and western areas of Norway where it will be windy. Drier elsewhere here. Mostly dry across Sweden though a passing shower cannot be ruled out. Sunny spells and showers for Finland and the Baltics, though showers fast moving on a brisk, relatively mild wind.

Saturday
Rain moving in to the far northwest of Spain and Portugal by the end of the day, otherwise dry and fine with plenty of sun. Dry and sunny too for the Balearics, much of Italy, though the odd shower cannot be ruled out across Sicily. One or two showers for the Greek islands while windy with some heavier rain across Turkey.
Some rain in the north of France, drier further south. A wet morning across the Low Countries but it should brighten up in the afternoon here though staying breezy. Rain moving in to north and west Germany with strengthening winds across the country. Largely dry across the Alpine region including the Balkans and much of eastern Europe.
Becoming wetter and windier across Sweden, Norway and Denmark with some patchy rain moving up across Finland too. Very windy here as well as through the Baltics where there will be some showery rain.
