Heatwave across Spain continues Saturday. Cooler for parts on Sunday

Saturday
Mostly dry and particularly hot through Spain and Portugal, though a few showers likely to develop further north here. The Balearics look to be dry, hot and sunny along with Italy and the islands as well as Greece. One or two isolated showers may develop across southern parts of Turkey but elsewhere here dry.
A largely dry and fine day across France, the Netherlands and much of Germany, though north Germany will see some rain with breezy conditions for a time. Showers still affecting Austria and Switzerland into northern parts of Slovakia into Croatia. A few scattered showers affecting eastern Europe but generally dry with sunny spells.
Overnight and into Saturday outbreaks of rain, some thundery, continue to affect Denmark, southern Norway and south Sweden, with heavy rain affecting many of the Baltic States. Largely dry and fine across Finland and northern regions of Norway and Sweden.

Sunday
North Spain and north Portugal looking more unsettled today with heavy showers developing here for a time while feeling cooler than of late. Largely dry, fine and still hot elsewhere. Staying dry, sunny and hot across the Balearics as well as much of Italy. Developing showers through mainland Greece pushing on to the islands. Western Turkey largely dry but showers in the east.
Thundery showers developing across much of France helping temperatures cool off somewhat here. Northern regions staying largely dry. The Low Countries and most of Germany will remain dry, fine and warm. Weather improves across Poland. Thundery, heavy showers developing across Switzerland and Austria. Some scattered showers for the Balkans but plenty of dry regions here too.
Possible light rain across parts of Denmark as well as some of the Baltic states in the morning but a drier afternoon. Rain moving in to southwest Norway with some scattered showers elsewhere but plenty of dry areas too. Largely dry with sunny spells across Sweden and Finland.
