Wintry showers in the north and east
Dry and bright in the southwest

There will be a mixture of sunny spells and wintry showers for northern and eastern parts of Europe through the coming few days while it will be rather wet for France, the Low Countries and Germany on Sunday. Dry and bright in the western Mediterranean.


Sunday
Sunday continues cool but dry and bright for Portugal, Spain and the Balearics. Overcast for Corsica and Sardinia with the best chance of brightness in Corsica and a chance of showers in Sardinia. Dry for Italy with a mixture of broken cloud and good sunny spells. Dry and bright too for Greece though cloud will build from the west through the day while western parts of Turkey hold on to some heavier bursts of rain through the morning before brightening in the afternoon.
Rather cloudy across much of France with rain in the east and south. A very wet day for the Low Countries and Germany while Poland and the Czech Republic start the day dry before prolonged rain moves in through the early afternoon. Further heavy snowfall for Switzerland and Austria.
Wet and windy for Denmark though there may be some bright spells in the north by the afternoon. Prolonged falls of snow will move into the Baltics and Finland through Sunday morning while southern Sweden will also catch some rain and snow, it should stay mostly dry and bright in central regions however. There will be further snow for northern and western Norway but southeastern areas should be dry and bright.


Monday
Dry and bright on Monday for Portugal, Spain and the Balearics while it will start rather overcast for Corsica and Sardinia before brightening by the afternoon. Northern Italy will see a dry and bright day too while it will be overcast and windy in the south with some spells of heavy rain. Heavy rain and snow too for the Balkans and Greece while there will be a chance of a heavy shower in western parts of Turkey through the morning.
Rain clears away from southeastern France through the morning to leave a dry and bright day in the southeast, overcast but dry in the northwest. After a bright start it will become cloudy for the Low Countries and Germany with an increasing chance of wintry showers through the afternoon. Sunny spells and wintry showers for the Czech Republic and Poland while further heavy snowfall is expected for the Austrian Alps.
A cold northwest to northerly wind will bring a mixture of sunny spells, broken cloud and wintry showers to Denmark, the Baltics, Finland, Sweden and Norway on Monday with prolonged falls expected for northwest or west-facing coastlines.
