A deep area of low pressure brings widespread gales to northern Europe
A fair day for Portugal and Spain: cloud to the northwest with a slight chance of showers, bright to the southeast. Bright and dry too for much of Italy though cloud thickens to the north giving some light showers later for northwestern coasts. A dry and sunny day for Greece with isolated showers to the southwest. Snow showers clear from eastern Turkey to leave a dry, bright and cool day here.
Winds pick up across France, the Low Countries, Germany and Poland while heavy rain arrives to the northwest later. Staying dry but increasingly windy and overcast for southeastern parts of France and Germany. Cloud thickens across northwestern parts of the Czech Republic and over Switzerland but it remains dry here. Staying dry and bright for southeast Poland, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.
A very wet and windy day for Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Rain turns to snow over central parts of Norway and Sweden. Staying dry to the north. Mostly dry but increasingly windy and cloudy for Finland and the Baltic States.
A bright and dry day for much of Portugal and Spain. A slight chance of a coastal shower developing to the far northwest. Fair for Italy with showers over western coasts. A mostly dry, bright and cool day for Greece and Turkey. Cloud thickens over Greece through the day while eastern parts of Turkey could see isolated snow showers.
Strong winds with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow for central and northern France, the Low Countries, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. Mostly dry but cloudy for southern parts of France.
Windy with frequent wintry showers for Denmark, Norway and Sweden, showers most common for western-facing coasts. Early rain clears east from Finland and the Baltic States leaving a windy day here too, also with frequent wintry showers.
