A vast area of low pressure brings colder, more unsettled conditions to much of northwest Europe


Sunday
Early showers ease to leave a dry and fine day for Spain and Portugal. Rain may arrive to the far northwest later. Mostly bright for Italy with showers for central and southern areas. Cloud spreads east across Greece and Turkey with isolated showers developing for western Greece. Staying sunny to the east of Turkey.
Showers, some heavy, for southeastern and northwestern parts of France. Increasingly cloudy for the Low Countries but staying dry here. Mostly dry with variable amounts of cloud for Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia. Occasional showers may develop for southwest Germany, Switzerland and Hungary.
Another fair day for Denmark and the Baltic States though patchy rain may affect Estonia through the morning. A band of snow moves across central Finland but dry to the north and south of this. Outbreaks of rain and snow for western and southern Norway as well as northern Sweden. Dry but mostly cloudy elsewhere.

Monday
Some heavy bursts of showery rain affect Portugal and northwestern parts of Spain. Staying dry and bright for southeast Spain and the Balearic Islands. Early rain clears southern Italy to leave a mostly dry and bright day here. Odd showers may develop to the northwest. Heavy rain spreads east across Greece through the day on Monday reaching western Turkey later. Staying dry but increasingly cloudy to the east.
Heavy outbreaks of rain spread across France, the Low Countries and Germany with cooler temperatures following from the west. Starting dry for Switzerland but rain and snow arrives here later. A mostly dry but increasingly cloudy day for Austria and the Czech Republic. Poland, Slovakia and Hungary are mostly cloudy with isolated showers.
A dull day for Denmark with frequent showers following a band of rain. Mostly cloudy for the Baltic States with isolated showers for Estonia. Cloudy too for Sweden and Finland with frequent wintry showers affecting most areas. Norway also sees a cloudy day with wintry showers easing as more persistent rain and snow arrives to the southwest.
