Snow across the Adriatic Region, warmest across southern Spain

Today
A cold day with temperatures in single figures across much of Europe. A dry, sunny day to come across Portugal and Spain. Mostly cloudy across northern and central parts of France with showers while the south is dry and sunny but very windy. Heavy spells of rain to affect northern and southern parts of Italy with central Italy dry. Heavy rain and snow is expected across the Adriatic Region and very windy. Most of Greece and Turkey should be fine and dry but showers are expected from the Greek Isles into Cyprus. An area of heavy rain lies across the western Ukraine into western Romania and Hungary. Fair and dry across eastern parts of the Ukraine, eastern Romania and Bulgaria. Snow is expected across Finland with rain across the Baltic States, north west Russia into south eastern Poland. Dry across most of Poland. Cloudy with rain and showers across Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands while a fair dry day is expected across Belgium. Snow showers will affect southern Germany. Rain is forecast across Sweden with light snow for Norway. Very windy in the central Mediterranean with gales.

Monday
It's to remain cold throughout much of Europe on Monday. Windy with moderate to heavy rain across Britain, the far north of France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, northern Germany the far south of Sweden while snow persists across Norway. Most of France though will be fine and dry with sunny spells. Lots of sunshine too across Portugal, Spain and the Balearics. Scattered showers will be around Corsica, Sardinia and Scilly. Mainly dry across Italy while heavy snow is expected across parts of the Adriatic Region and Bulgaria. Spells of rain are forecast for Romania, The Ukraine and the far west of Turkey. Frequent, heavy, blustery showers are likely from Scilly eastward to Crete. Snow is expected across northern Russia. Austria, Hungary, Poland and Croatia along with the Czech Republic should be cold but dry. Apart from coastal showers, most of the Baltic Region looks cold and dry.
