Chilly winds for northern-central Europe


Saturday
Low pressure centred to the south-west of Iberia brings areas of persistent, at times heavy rain to southern Spain Portugal. Generally brighter toward the north & west of Iberia. Dry for much of the central Mediterranean, perhaps a little rain for southern Italy. Mostly dry for the Balkans and Greece. A strong breeze around the Aegean. Showers affect the eastern Mediterranean.
Cloudy with patchy rain for central and south-eastern France. Possible snow flurries for the Low Countries. Sunshine toward the Biscay coast. Temperatures ranging from 2 to 4C in northern France, 10 to 13C in the south. Staying cold but mainly dry across eastern Europe and the Baltic, widely near or below zero Celsius. Snow showers in the far north of Norway. A cold easterly wind for Denmark, northern Germany and Poland.

Staying unsettled for south-western Europe, with pulses of heavy rain affecting Spain and Portugal. Occasional rain spreads north across France, but there will be a good deal of dry weather, and as a southerly wind develops, south-west France may become very mild at 15C. A general south-easterly airflow affects much of central & southern Europe. Scattered light showers around the Mediterranean, but much of Italy, the Alps and Balkan states will stay dry. A chilly wind affects Greece .
High pressure extends across southern Scandinavia and eastern Europe, bringing dry and chilly conditions to Germany, Poland and areas surrounding the Baltic, with a lot of cloud likely. Light winds for southern Norway & Sweden, but a westerly wind affects northern Scandinavia, bringing milder air and rain to the far north, snow over the mountains.
