Rain in southern Italy and Greece, fair for most of central Europe


Tuesday
A strong anti-cyclone will be the main feature of the weather across a large part of Europe with a dry, settled day expected from France eastward across The Low Countries into Germany, Austria, Switzerland. A few showers to come near the eastern and southern coasts of Spain, otherwise it's a dry, sunny day across Spain and Portugal. More in the way of heavy showers are forecast from Sardinia into southern Italy and south into the Mediterranean. C
old but dry and sunny across The Balkans, the Adriatic Region into Turkey. A widespread frost to come across much of Europe with a risk of some dense patches of freezing fog. Outbreaks of heavy snow are expected across Russia and the Ukraine with snow showers across The Baltic States and eastern Poland. Cold but dry across Norway, Sweden and Finland.


Wednesday
Fair in Spain and Portugal on Wednesday, plenty of sunshine here and dry too. A chance of some showers in the Balearics. Cloud and some showery rain across the far south of Italy but dry for most and cool. Rain in Greece, some of it heavy. Drier Turkey with sunny spells here.
A frosty start across much of central Europe. Sunny spells and dry in France once morning fog has cleared. More sunny spels for the Low Countries and Germany. Poland should be fair as well with plenty of sunshine here. Fair too in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Cloud and patchy rain affecting Denmark. Breezy and fair for the Baltic States with sunny spells to come here. Breezy to in Finland with wintry showers. Mild for Sweden and mostly dry. More unsettled in Norway with a risk of some rain, especially in the west.
