Friday
Low pressure centred west of Iberia produces areas of rain for Portugal and south-west Spain. Some snow over mountains in the north-west of Iberia. Eastern Spain and much of France will stay dry with some sunshine. Temperatures ranging from 12 to 14C around the western Mediterranean, to just 3 to 5C in northern France. Outbreaks of rain or snow affect the western Alps and northern Italy. A zone of rain affects south-eastern Italy and may graze the west of mainland Greece . The Greek Islands stay often dry, although local showers are possible.
A strong area of high pressure over Scandinavia brings dry and cold weather to north & eastern Europe. Temperatures just above zero in Germany, but generally below freezing for Poland, Ukraine and areas surrounding the Baltic. A lot of cloud for much of Scandinavia, and a few snow flurries around coasts in Denmark and southern Norway.


Saturday
High pressure remains centred around the Baltic, whilst low pressure affects south-western Europe. Persistent rain, at times heavy for Spain and Portugal, although some brighter areas toward the north & west of Iberia. Cloudy with patchy rain for central and southern France. Possible snow flurries for the Low Countries.
A brighter day for much of Italy, and staying dry for the Balkans and Greece. A strong breeze around the Aegean. Thundery showers affect the eastern Mediterranean. Staying cold across eastern Europe and the Baltic. Mainly dry, but some snow flurries. Snow showers may affect northern Norway. A cold wind for Denmark, northern Germany and Poland.
