Fine and summery throughout the Mediterranean

Today
Very warm to hot today across much of Europe. Sunny and dry for much of Portugal and Spain but an area of thunderstorms may affect the north Spanish coast in the afternoon and evening. The far north and the far south of France should be dry but for much of France it will be unsettled with plenty of heavy showers and thunderstorms. These will also affect Switzerland and southern Germany along with Austria. Northern Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and Poland will be warm, dry and mostly sunny. A sunny, hot day across Italy Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria. Heavy thundery showers to affect Croatia today with the rest of the Adriatic Region mainly dry. Hot and sunny across the Ukraine while heavy showers affect Belarus, northern Russia and The Baltic States. Dry and warm for Finland. Showers are forecast for western Norway and northern Sweden but dry elsewhere.



Monday
A sunny, hot day to come across Portugal and Spain. A fine summer's day into the Balearics, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, the Adriatic Region, Greece and Turkey. The weather remains unsettled across France with heavy showers and thunderstorms. These will also affect much of Germany, The Low Countries, Poland, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Most of the Balkans will have a fine, summery day with lots of hot sunshine. Just a few showers are in the forecast around the Baltic States and Finland with plenty of showers and thunderstorms expected across Russia. Outbreaks of rain are likely for Norway but a dry day across Sweden.
