Heavy showers, windy in the Mediterranean

Today
A very cold day from eastern Poland into Russia with sub zero maximum temperatures. Heavy rain is expected across France and Italy with heavy snow across the Alps. Plenty of heavy showers to affect the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia and very windy. Lots of showers too across Spain. Rain changes to snow across Denmark. A dry day is expected across England, Belgium, The Netherlands and most of Germany into Austria, The Czech Republic and Hungary. A wet day to come across the Adriatic Region with rain. Mainly dry across Greece and Bulgaria. Rain, with snow on high ground to affect Turkey. Some rain is forecast for Romania with outbreaks of snow across the Ukraine, southern Russia, The Baltic States, Finland, Sweden and Norway. Strong north west winds will prevail across Iberia with gusty south west winds across the western Mediterranean.

The very cold weather continues across eastern parts of Europe today. Heavy rain will fall across England and northern France. A fair, dry day to come across Portugal and Spain. Further spells of heavy rain along with gusty winds are likely across Italy, Greece and the Adriatic Region. Snow is forecast across Austria, The Czech Republic into southern Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine. A dry day is expected across Bulgaria and Turkey with light rain and snow across Romania. Bitterly cold and dry across Russia. A dry day too across the Baltic States into Finland. Further falls of snow to come across Sweden, Norway and Denmark while rain is likely across much of Germany. Mostly cloudy but a dry day across Belgium and the Netherlands. Strong winds will blow across the Mediterranean.
